Junior TECHNICAL Designer

Job Description

We are looking for an entry level, technically inclined individual with interest in building envelope design and construction, remediation, and litigation. We offer generous salaries commensurate with experience and an excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities

You will produce and coordinate construction document packages and conduct on-site quality and destructive testing, as well as field investigations to examine the extent of damages. Tasks vary from CAD and hand drafting to working closely with project managers and architects throughout the duration of the project, as well as with other firms that hire us as a consultant. As you begin to gain more experience, you will begin to take on more responsibilities within the company.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor in Architecture, Engineering or associated field.

  • 0-5 years in relevant architecture and/or building structures experience.

  • Strong knowledge of architectural building systems.

  • Strong hand and CAD drafting skills.

  • Proficiency in CAD software, Vectorworks preferred.

  • Proficiency in Mac OS and iWork Office Suite.

  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work in team environment.

  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication.

Intermediate project manager

Job Description

We are looking for an intermediate level, technically inclined individual who has experience managing projects and interest in building envelope issues. We offer generous salaries commensurate with experience and an excellent benefits package.

Responsibilities

You will engage in multiple roles on numerous projects at any one time, allowing you to assume varied responsibilities as your experience and skill set develops. Tasks vary from design to contract administration, with plenty of work on site. You will be encouraged to assume leadership roles on projects and find creative resolutions to the complexities and conflicts that occur at the intersection of design and construction.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years in relevant architecture and/or building structures experience.

  • Strong knowledge of architectural building systems.

  • Strong hand and CAD drafting skills.

  • Proficiency in CAD software, Vectorworks preferred.
